BIM for Facility Management

Efficient building operation using BIM models

In the BIM model as a digital twin of the existing building, all the information relevant to facility management is combined. With digital twins, a single source of truth is created that serves all parties involved.

CAFM (Computer-Aided Facility Management) software allows the consolidation of all relevant building information in one central location through the use of the BIM model. This is the foundation for optimizing building operations and resource conservation.

To fully utilize the potential of a CAFM system, a BIM model of the existing building is essential. For this purpose, the BIM model will be provided with all the information that is useful for facility management.

The software is designed to support various industries and themes, including area, maintenance, and portfolio management. It also includes features for presenting maintenance or repair orders. In particular, it is useful for managing industrial buildings and technical systems, as well as handling conversions and managing devices and machines in production halls. Companies that use this software, known as a Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) system, can save time and money, and have access to a vast amount of data that can be easily accessed and evaluated. This system promotes transparency and accessibility of information about processes and conditions within structures, rather than having this knowledge restricted to a select few employees.

To ensure expert implementation of customized processes, particularly in the realm of facility management, we collaborate with CAFM professionals from RIEDERTECH. Their extensive knowledge and experience allow us to provide professional guidance and deliver the right CAFM system for your specific needs.

"CAFM allows you to gather and organize all asset and building data in a central location, enabling efficient building operations and optimizing facility management within your company."

If you do not yet have a CAFM system, our colleagues at RIEDERTECH would be happy to provide you with advice. They can create a 3D model, also known as a digital twin, specifically tailored to the requirements of your building management and the CAFM system you wish to use.

If you are considering using a digital building twin for your facility management, please feel free to reach out to us. We would be happy to assist you.

Our working process

In partnership with RIEDERTECH, we assess the requirements for the CAFM system and the associated Building Information Model, considering its intended future use.

Upon the requirements for the CAFM system and BIM model have been determined, we will provide you with a fixed-price quote that includes a schedule for completion.

Once the offer has been accepted and all necessary information for implementation has been gathered, our colleagues from RIEDERTECH will serve as your primary point of contact to ensure efficient communication.

We will design the BIM model to meet your exact specifications, while RIEDERTECH works on preparing the model for import into the CAFM system. The final step is to input the FM data into the system.

The CAFM system, including the digital building twin, will be provided to you as a web-based platform that has been fully customized to meet your specific needs.
