Project description Hypo Tyrol Bank
Hypo Tyrol Bank approached us to provide advanced BIM solutions for their three existing buildings in Innsbruck, Tirol. This ambitious project spanned a total area of over 25,000 square meters (GFA) and aimed to enhance its facility management capabilities through the creation of high-quality digital twins.
The project involved precise laser scanning, comprehensive data integration, and meticulous 3D modeling, ensuring that each aspect of the buildings was accurately captured and represented. By transforming the physical structures into detailed digital assets, Hypo Tyrol Bank sought to improve its operational efficiency and asset management.
Laser Scanning Using the latest laser scanning technology, our client captured precise point cloud data, forming the foundation for creating highly detailed digital twins of the buildings. Each building was meticulously scanned to ensure high-accuracy point cloud data, providing a comprehensive digital representation of the structures and interiors.
Data Integration In addition to point clouds in RCP format, panorama views in LGS format, and floor plans in DWG and PDF were used to create the 3D models. This integration ensured that all aspects of the buildings were accurately represented in the digital models.
3D Modeling in Revit Our team transformed the captured data into 3D BIM models in Revit, ensuring each model was detailed to LOD 300. This level of detail guarantees that the models are suitable for various applications, from planning to facility management.
Customization for CAFM with RIEDERBAU The 3D models were tailored for Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM). This included incorporating detailed room data (area, height, volume, number, name, and usage) and integrating wall materials as specified in the DWG files. Additionally, we added workspaces consisting of chairs, cabinets, tables, rolling containers, floor lamps, and floor sockets to reflect the actual usage of the spaces.
Efficiency The first building was completed in 15 working days. Despite the third building being three times larger than the first, we finished it in only 21 working days. This improvement was due to enhanced workflow efficiency and the team's adaptation to the project requirements, which streamlined the process significantly.
Enhanced Facility Management The detailed "As-Built" models were delivered in Revit 2024 and as .ifc files, providing Hypo Tirol Bank with accurate and reliable digital assets for their facility management needs. The digital twins created from our BIM models enable improved management and maintenance of the buildings, ensuring Hypo Tirol Bank can efficiently oversee their properties. Our expertise in Scan to BIM, combined with the use of advanced Revit software, ensured the successful delivery of high-quality digital twins for Hypo Tirol Bank. These digital assets are crucial for enhancing the bank's facility management capabilities, supporting both current and future operational needs.
